Dear colleagues,
Developing an “exotic” direction
relatively new for the journal dealing with the use of informational
technologies in the educational and real architectural and townplanning process
we believe it will be interesting not only for architectural and townplanning
circles but also for specialists engaged in fundamental and applied problems of
computer graphics and geometry. The offered articles were prepared by some
members of the European Architectural Endoscopy Association (EAEA) for Symposium 10 at the 18th
IAPS-Conference (http://www.iaps-association.org/).
During the last 30 years the
techniques of the 3D-environmental simulation (modelling) have been developed
from endoscopic photographs with simple scale physical models to highly complex
computer generated virtual worlds. Environment-behavior-studies, teaching
architecture and urban design, support for design solutions in architecture and
urban planning, citizen information and participation as well as project
presentation, project marketing and tool for decision-making processes of
public and private clients – a wide range of applications has lead to a project
oriented use of different media.
We would like to note, that some of
offered materials or their fragments can be open to discussion on the pages of
our electronic journal. It can appear important, interesting and useful.
